FCC chairman taps chief of staff

FCC chairman Julius Genachowski has drawn on Zachary Katz as his chief of staff, succeeding Eddie Lazarus, who's departing in the finish from the month. Katz continues to be chief counsel to Genachowski after joining the FCC last year and becoming legal agent to Genachowski and deputy chief from the commission's Office of Proper Planning and Policy Analysis. He's brought initiatives including the development of the Connect America Fund, which cool the agency's Universal Service Fund and Intercarrier compensation programs. He offered within the Whitened House Counsel's office and practiced at Munger, Tolles & Olson in La. Before going after a legitimate career he labored with technology companies in a proper talking to firm in Plastic Valley. Genachowski also introduced a number of new visits. Sherrese Cruz, senior counsel and legal agent, will end up chief counsel and senior legal agent Amy Levine, presently special counsel and legal agent, will end up senior counsel and legal agent. Michael Steffen, presently at work of general counsel in the FCC, became a member of Genachowski's office as legal agent.
